This Certified Scrum Master (CSM) class is a virtual, interactive learning experience where you can learn the key principles of Agile, the concepts and practices that define the Scrum framework, and the specific activities and responsibilities to be a great Scrum Master. This class is based on real-life practices and applications, and the entire learning experience is conducted using interactive exercises that foster learning and collaboration.

Our trainers bring years of industry experience building digital products and working with Agile teams in different industries. Certification: This class includes the Certified Scrum Master exam administered by the Scrum Alliance for the certification. Upon completion of the class the students are eligible to take the exam. This class covers all the required Learning Objectives and 16 hours of live instruction by a Certified Scrum Trainer.

Taught by our Certified Scrum Trainers (CST), this class takes participants through a series of interactive workshops where they can learn and apply first-hand the principles of Scrum. The goal of the class is to learn the fundamentals of Scrum, the responsibilities of the Product Owner, the Scrum Master, and the Development Team, how to lead an Agile transformation within your team and organizations, and how to become a great Scrum Master. The class also prepares participants for the CSM certification exam. The certification attests the ability to implement Scrum in the work environment, conduct the Scrum activities, and act as an Agile change agent in the organization.
You will gain a practical understanding of the roles, artifacts and events of Scrum, via hands on exercises, discussions, fun games, and real-life stories.
Scrum is today the most popular Agile framework, used by organizations worldwide. Scrum is a simple yet incredibly powerful set of practices that help teams deliver products in short cycles, enable fast feedback, and create a culture of rapid adaptation to change. This class teaches the foundations of Agile and provides a solid understanding of the Scrum framework with a specific focus on the Scrum Master role, as a leading change agent in the organization in support of the Product Owner and the Development Team. We also take a look at traditional project management approaches and how they map to responsibilities, activities, and best practices in an Agile context.
You will learn how Scrum exists in a larger organizational context, and how it differs from traditional Waterfall approaches. You will also learn the importance of the Scrum Master within an organization to act as a servant leader, support the team, and drive an Agile transformation.
This class uses digital collaboration tools to facilitate exercises and discussions. As an added bonus, you get to experience some of these tools and build the confidence to bring these tools to your team and organization.
This is a virtual training class with a live instructor, delivered using video conference and digital collaboration tools. We have converted the in-person group exercises to online group exercises using a variety of tools. These exercises ensure you achieve the same learning objectives, while engaging and having fun with other participants.
The whole class is based on interactive exercises, simulations, and group discussions. The instructor explains key concepts and brings in real-life stories, and participants learn from applying the concepts and from sharing with each other. The instructor may share photos, diagrams, or single slides to bring home a point or share an experience. Besides this, there are no slides as the whole class is driven by exercises and group activities to accelerate the learning.
We incorporate innovation games and liberating structures into the exercises. You will experience these useful frameworks that you can use spark innovation and collaboration with your team members. Because we facilitate the class using real everyday tools, you also get to learn how to use these to spark collaboration within your own team and organization.

Anil Jaising, CST, CSM, CSPO, is a passionate Certified Scrum Trainer CST® whose focus is to design and deliver an immersive experience in both in-person and virtual training. Anil is a certified Training from the BACK of the Room trainer and is part of the design team that developed the virtual edition of TBR. His training focuses on leaners being able to discover and learn by doing instead of boring lectures or use of slides.

Valerio Zanini, CST, CSM, CSPO, has more than 15 years of professional experience spanning software development, system integration, agile transformation, design thinking, and product innovation. He helps organizations worldwide adopt Scrum, improve product development practices, and increase productivity. He provides consulting and training to organizations of any size, helping them become more innovative with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, product management, and Design Thinking practices.
Formerly, a Director of Product Development at Capital One where he led digital transformation initiatives for retail bank and transformed how customers interact with bankers. Before Capital One, Valerio was the co-founder and CEO of Goozex (sold in 2012), a Systems Engineer at Cisco, and the co-founder of one of the first web development companies in Italy.
He is a Certified Scrum Trainer and Scrum Master, SAFe Program Consultant, and Certified Product Owner. He is also a certified instructor in Innovation Games and in Training from the Back of the Room. He is the author of “Deliver Great Products That Customers Love”, published in 2018.

Cancellation requests submitted 10 business days or more prior to the start of the course are entitled to a full refund. Students submitting cancellation requests less than 10 business days prior to the start of the course will be offered a credit toward a future CSM course of equivalent value within one year, or a refund of 50% the amount paid for registration.
